Alltel offers ED–VO type wireless access services for laptops, smartphones and handhelds for limited areas in the US.

Price/ Fees:

If you use their bundled services you can get wireless broadband access for $59.99 per month, otherwise they charge $79.99 per month for unlimited access. Their national smartphone plan costs $29.99 per month.

Coverage:

Alltel offers limited coverage for their Axcess Broadband services, which include Akron, Charlotte, Cleveland, Lansing, Little Rock, Norfolk, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Raleigh, Richmond and Tampa. Their “MobileLink” and smartphone services are available in more areas.

Summary:

If you use Alltel’s bundled service you can get a competitive rate on mobile coverage, if they service your area. However, other services offer more coverage flexibility.
