Increase your productivity while on the road or simply surf the internet while waiting out a layover with Sprint. Sprint employs Evolution Data Optimized (EV–DO) technology in all major markets and receives our “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award.”
Sprint has coverage where business travelers need it most, in 870 airports and more than 9000 cities. So no matter where you are at, you can check your email, take care of your customers and access corporate intranets.
Although Sprint offers comparable rates, they do not offer the coverage of Cingular and do not offer non–business account deals like T–Mobile.
Sprint offers a 40 MB plan for $39.99 per month with $.001 per KB for overages, but one nice benefit is that they top out at $99.99 so you don’t have to worry about a monstrosity of a bill if you use their service more than usual for a month.
Their unlimited use plan is advertised as $59.99 per month with a two–year agreement, or for their standard rate of $79.99 with a one–year agreement. If you use your phone as a modem it is $39.99 for 40MB or $49.99 for unlimited.
Sprint’s activation fee is $36 and early termination fee is $200. They offer plans that not only support laptops with connection cards, but also tethered laptops, smartphones and BlackBerrys.
Sprint has EV–DO network coverage for 9000 cities and 870 airports, including a few in Hawaii. They offer limited coverage in most states and more comprehensive coverage in California, Florida and Texas. Other states have coverage in one or more major cities in that state, including places like Little Rock, Phoenix, Lexington, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Nashville and other popular travel destinations.
Sprint also offers some Wi–Fi zones, like at these international airports: George Bush, Salt Lake, Memphis, Kansas City, General Mitchell and Louisville.
You can contact Sprint by email, telephone or through your Sprint PCS or Nextel phone. On the Sprint website you can access account information, help for specific devices and manuals. However, it would be nice if they offered chat support and user forums.
Sprint offers good coverage in major population centers and costs about the same as other services. If you are a Sprint business customer already and they cover your area, this may be good time to lock in thier reduced mobile broadband rate.
